Are we *sure* about this Jimmy? I've been trying to remember if I actually stayed up (or got up) at 3am EST or if I ordered at midnight here (I'm back east) the last few times I've ordered the newest Apple thing.

I'd love some sort of confirmation one way or another officially (so if you have any Apple posts or something that mention this feel free to include them).

And it looks as though, as usual, Apple hasn't gotten its act together (this is typical -- in years past we either had the site jammed up so no pre-ordering was possible except for a very few, or it has been like this, the site not being updated in time).

I got up early for nothing. Sigh.

However, I can tell you it did not begin until nearly 20 minutes after the hour (I know, because I refreshed the page every 30 seconds from 3:01am EST on). But after that it was easy to order, so I will give Apple that (and my new watch is coming next Friday, which is good as I've already sold my old one and will be giving it up today).

Yeah, for me too, however, I think I was a bit luckier, I could get in at 12:10 AM PDT.
